In this guide I will introduce you to the easiest way to download your favorite episodes from our irc channel #cartoon-world. I will divide the process in several steps. He we go :) :

1. Download the sysreset addon for Mirc from here - it comes with the same files as the old Mirc, but it has some very handy download functions.

2. Install it on your pc and run it!

2a. If you can not configure it, or you doubt you can configure it right, go to my sysreset setup guide here.

3. Enter our channel at the CW-Net network:

- irc.cartoon-world.org

- #cartoon-world

- or for a shortcut, click here (after you are done configuring sysreset!).

4. Now type !list in the channel window. You should start receiving multiple messages. Something like this:

!list output

5. Now it is time to choose which server you will enter. Logically the triggers themselves and the descriptions are very helpful. Mind that @find works with about half the servers in the channel. So let's say I want to go to AquaFox's server. All I need to do is copy/paste his trigger. That is done just by highlighting the trigger and then the keystroke ctrl + v. After you are sure you have copied only the trigger and nothing else hit enter and you should be in. To enter AquaFox's server I need to copy/paste /ctcp AquaFox Anime Reserve . It should look like this after you've pasted the trigger:

CTCP trigger

5.1. Now we are in. You should see a window like this one:

File list

Just double-click any directory you want to go in and any file you want to get. Note that you should not try to download more files than the fserver owner has specified. Once the server has informed you that all of your queue slots are full, you should better exit the server. (To go a directory up, just click the two dots, above all other directories.)

5.1a. If a problem emerges, use the following three commands (type them in the chat window that opened when you entered the trigger):

- cd <dirname> - this will change the directory you are in to whatever directory you specified. cd .. will go to the previous directory.

- dir - displays whatever there is in the directory you are in.

- get filename.ext - this will queue you the file you specified (just copy/paste the file you want (without it's size) and type get in the front).

5.2. Let's say you do not want to use any of the fservers available in the channel. You want to download our newest (or older) releases from one of our xdcc bots (all of them have in common +[C-W] and stand right below the ops). I will use for an example [C-W]inorpo. I assume that you have done the 4. step so you have everything listed. If you've lost thye listing type !list again. That is how the [C-W]inorpo message looks like:

XDCC Bot !list response

So now all I have to do to see what files does the bot have is to type /msg [C-W]inorpo xdcc list ... If I type anything different from that the bot won't tell me what files it has, and most probably people in the channel will see what I have typed and think I am an idiot. So try to copy/paste it right. As I mentioned before all you need to do is highlight the /msg [C-W]inorpo xdcc list part and then just use the keystroke ctrl + v. Now I've typed /msg [C-W]inorpo xdcc list and look what I can see now:

XDCC Bot file list

Let's say I want to download this file: Eureka_7[012]Acperience-1[C-W].avi . You can see the number it has as a pack from here:

Pack number

So now all I have to do is type: /msg [C-W]inorpo xdcc send #55 . Then soon the file will start sending.

6. ETIQUETTE:

- Do not bother or abuse server owners!

- Do not spam the channels with errors
